Tribute to another everyday Hero!

Today's tribute is to Tyson from UHEAA, who went well above and beyond the call to straighten out a big-o problem with a PLUS loan that Steve and I took out to help fund Kelsey's trip to Jerusalem (we were able to fund it ourselves and cancelled/returned the check on the same day we received it). He saved us hundreds of dollars on money we never used, so kudos to him for going the extra mile and working many hours on this. I love people who take pride in their work and do it well.

"And they called it...Puppy Love!"

How is it that my brother, Pete, got to meet and have a PICTURE taken with Donny and Marie, when everyone in my family knows that it was ME who insisted that we gather around the t.v. and watch the Donny and Marie Show? I was the one that had purple tennis shoes and drew a beautiful picture entitled "Purple Dreams"of a brick wall with purple flowers trailing over it ("When the deep purple falls, over sleepy garden walls..."), which I gave to my mother to mail to Donny so that he could use as his next album cover. Didn't I buy numerous issues of Tigerbeat dedicated solely to the Osmond family? I had the Official Osmond Family Biography by Paul H. Dunn and I remember when Donny got engaged (sob) to Debbie, but I was very mature about the news and just wished Donny well. I made my husband buy tickets for and sit through several Donny concerts. Yet, my brush with Donny continues to allude me. When Donny first came to Salt Lake as Joseph in the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat I made darn sure that we had tickets for a performance. It was to be my birthday present. But alas, on the day of the performance, Steve was very ill. No problem, my parents had tickets for a matinee a few days later, so I just traded with them. They went and had a FABULOUS time and loved Donny and all his hotness in his little pharaoh loin clothe that he wears. Oh, the day I went? He was sick, so we had David Osmond as his understudy. David was awesome, but he wasn't DONNY. Sigh. A couple of years ago Kelsey got to go, FOR FREE, to a Donny concert--I was so jealous! I know she could never appreciate the performance like I could. But I'm at peace with it now. As you can clearly tell. That is all I have to say about that.
